The mission of the Guidance Department is to empower all students to achieve their full potential, make positive choices and to be well prepared for embarking upon college studies or joining the workplace.
Students enrolled at St. Johns Technical High School have the opportunity to take vocational classes during the school day at First Coast Technical College.
Programs Offered:

*Carpentry
*Cosmetology
*Culinary Arts
*Commercial Art
*Early Childhood Education
Students can also take courses at St. Augustine High School if they are not offered at St. Johns Technical High School.

Standard Diploma Option: 4-Year Standard/ 24 Credits (2.0 unweighted GPA & pass 10th grade FCAT)
4 Credits in English 4 Credits in Math 3 Credits in Science (2 lab components) 3 Credits in Social Studies 1 Credit in W. History 1 Credit in Am. History .5 Credit in Gov/ .5 credit in Econ 1 Credit in Practical Art/Performing Art 1 Credit in Hope 8 Credits in Electives (c/o 2011 and beyond require a Major Area of Interest-4 elective credits)
